The guest's brother and a friend were elk hunting at Mount Rainier. They returned to find their camp destroyed, then slept in the pickup with a camper shell. Around 3:30 a.m. a human-like face appeared at the window, bared long canines, and violently rocked and collapsed the shell until the men fled at sunrise.

While serving on active duty and assigned to guard duty at a military base, the witness's father and others in his unit responded to a report of noises at a newly installed perimeter fence. They found several fence posts pulled from the ground and saw movement. They ordered whoever was there to show themselves and then fired, finding no blood or other result, and the unit was shipped out much earlier than originally scheduled.

Around two in the morning one unzipping the tent heard something massive right outside that ran past with enough force to shake the tent and fled into the forest, waking the other. Morning showed most gifts gone except one plum and impressions around the tent.
