Sasquatch sighting near Sussex County (1977)
A family on a farm found a solid wooden garage door torn off and eight pet rabbits killed and mutilated with little blood, after hearing a woman-like scream. On subsequent nights they saw a seven-foot hairy creature near the road and under the yard light. They fired on it as it entered the coop and came toward them, then sent children away. Police blamed a bear, raccoon or wild dog.
Sasquatch sighting near Flintville, Tennessee (1976)
A young child playing in a yard screamed as a tall hairy figure bounded toward the house and reached for the child. The mother smelled a foul odor, grabbed the child, and ran inside. Police who responded heard unrecognized howls and had rocks thrown at them.

The family reports being frightened three times since September with nighttime screams, torn fences, dumped feed containers, ripped doors and spooked animals.
Sasquatch sighting in Florida
A truck driver said he struck what he first thought was a person while driving in Florida. The figure then looked up, appeared gorilla-like, and stood about ten feet tall. The driver fled in his truck after hearing a loud high scream.
