Two companions went after dark to a reportedly haunted bench area by a lake. A heavy rock flew across in front of them from a grassy field or trees and splashed into the lake, audibly striking rocks underwater. The reporting witness turned on a flashlight but saw no one, and the pair left feeling followed.

Once he looked and saw a three-foot grinning gargoyle-like figure that vanished when he swung at it. A marble-like hit to the neck in daylight was part of the same period.
