Frightening encounter experienced on family property outside Naples
Three people spending the night in a trailer heard distant howling that grew closer and seemed to come from more than one direction, and they called back. Small stones were thrown toward them, and they heard stomping, grunting, knocking, movement in brush close by, and trees breaking. They retreated into a bedroom where screaming, walking, and contact with the outside of the trailer continued for about an hour while one of them looked through window blinds and was left frightened.

The witness and a relative were sleeping in a tent at their hunting camp when loud screams woke the witness. After a long silent interval, something on two feet circled the tent, cast a tall shadow and scratched the fabric, then crossed a gravel road into the woods followed by repeated stick-struck sounds. The relative woke briefly and also heard part of the screaming. No tracks were found the next morning.

The witness screwed a peanut butter jar to a tree to photograph deer. One camera frame was completely black and the jar was gone in the next. He later found the lid with a small molar-like bite mark.

After a heavy impact rocked the trailer and left dents, and a chained dog's chain snapped, the group smelled a musky odor and later saw a tall gray-brown figure in the driveway under lights. The witness and a companion were on a multi-day backcountry hike and stopped at dusk near a river to find shelter. They heard an extremely loud prolonged scream from across the water followed by large rocks splashing near them. As they continued hiking, they heard more splashes, sensed something paralleling them, and heard a large animal cross the river and run into the woods.

While alone in her trailer at night the witness heard what sounded like rocks being thrown at the trailer. After she yelled out the window, something screamed angrily and crashed west through the woods breaking branches, then screamed again farther away. The next day she found rocks on her boardwalk where they should not have been.

During a BFRO trip to Bumping Lake with a friend, the guest was woken around 3:30 a.m. by loud bellowing screams. A hand pushed and swished across the tent near his face and knocked back when he hit the fabric, then walked away. At daylight he found a woven-tree shelter overlooking camps and on exit found the road blocked by three pushed-over trees.

After moving to the property the household repeatedly heard tapping on glass and slaps on the exterior walls, but found nothing when checking with a spotlight. Chairs left outside were found turned upside down in the morning. Strange whoop-like sounds were also heard from across the canyon and were initially attributed to bears or people.

While walking alone to his stand in the dark, the witness was followed in the brush line, then saw a huge dark-faced creature that hit a tree. Rocks began hitting the water and bank from across a flooded area about 50-60 yards away, followed by a sustained low roar that he felt vibrate. He left his gear and retreated to the lit compound, later hearing clicking like rocks banging together. About a month later he returned with a local researcher who found a pushed path through tules, a pressed circle, and a track measuring just over 16 inches.

The witness was alone in a remote primitive cabin just after dark on a mid-October evening when she heard repeated loud knocking sounds for 15-20 minutes and then gravel hitting the tin roof. She saw nothing outside and stayed inside with a gun until her husband returned. Her husband later fired guns into the woods and found a fired bullet standing upright in the outdoor shower the next morning.

The witness was bow-hunting elk and reported hearing knocks timed to his steps near a clearing in the afternoon. He then watched through binoculars as a large hair-covered figure struck a log against a dead tree. From a bedroom window she watched a small hair-covered biped with its fingers in the door crack for several minutes. They then reported hearing objects thrown through the woods toward them, with one small object striking a companion, prompting them to leave.

The witness was backpacking and camping with friends at a small alpine lake. Late at night two campers heard something moving on rocks by the lake and then something hit their tent. The next morning they found 6-7 human-like footprints where the movement had been heard, sunk much deeper than the witness's own print, and photographed them.

After briefly seeing a juvenile bear emerge and retreat, the witness turned and noticed a large upright human-like shape close by in thick brush. A tree trunk snapped and fell toward the witness, who fled to the car and drove away, later concluding the shape might have been a Sasquatch.

They also heard what sounded like large rocks splashing into the water at a distance. Feeling increasingly uneasy, they left the area a short time later.
