After the husband turned on exterior lights, the witness saw a large shadow move quickly away from the house toward nearby woods. Shortly after, both heard a very loud double whoop vocalization twice, which the husband said could not have been an owl.

The witness illuminated a large dark figure leaning from behind a tree about 30 feet away. A large rock was then thrown from the woods over the fire between the two people, the witness fired two shots into the air, and the figure was heard moving, breaking a tree, splashing across the creek, and ascending the opposite hillside. The pair left most gear behind, drove home, and returned the next morning to recover equipment and examine the broken tree.

The witness and a companion were camping in a tent when the witness heard loud, heavy bipedal footsteps approaching around 4 a.m. After the witness shouted, something threw a rock at the tent and then walked rapidly away with the same loud steps. The companion heard the rock strike the tent. In the morning the witness could not reproduce the loudness of the steps.

The witness camped alone on the east side of a small lake after hiking in about three miles. Around 1 a.m. while stoking his campfire he heard loud wood knocks approaching from the hill and loud vocalizations from the opposite shore about 100 yards away. The source also threw sticks toward his camp. After he fired a rifle shot into the air the sounds stopped, and he remained at camp until the next afternoon before hiking out.

The witness noted the nighttime disturbance could have been a bear, but also noted a food-strewn garbage bag was left untouched.

The guest backpacked alone into the remote Sierra camp where the Sierra Sounds were recorded to see if activity continued. During the afternoon he heard a loud wood knock outside his tent, and that night he heard chatter, a barrel being banged, loud bipedal footsteps circling, and breathing right beside the tent. After a quiet interval he heard an unexplained electronic sound outside at 4 a.m. He left the next morning convinced the group was still present.
Property disturbance (2011)
The guest says in 2011 he moved alone into a three-story house and rented an upstairs room. He says something was clearly not right there. It progressed into scary poltergeist activity which he denied and tried to put out of mind.
