A group hiked to remote mountain lakes and fished. The witness heard branches breaking and a very loud wood-on-wood knock, then smelled a strong foul stench. Pine cones landed sideways next to the witness and large tracks were seen in smashed grass, with a sense of being watched and shadowed until leaving the plateau. No creature was seen.

A logging crew left equipment at a newly roaded site for the weekend and returned to find trucks crushed, a heavy chain snapped, saws wrapped around trees, and fuel drums thrown into a ravine. A destruction trail led away with very large four-toed tracks and no vehicle signs. The crew abandoned that parcel and never returned.
