Late at night the witness heard sounds from a large animal in the backyard corn garden while in the living room. The next day a large footprint was found in the garden and corn was missing from the tops of tall stalks with husks left on the ground. A photo of the track was taken.

The creature followed briefly then moved away making moaning sounds, and the witness saw a very large four-toed footprint while leaving.

Four young men camped on a companion's land and heard approaching grunts, heavy footsteps and foul odor across a creek at dusk. After a rock was thrown toward the unseen sounds, something shrieked, circled the camp and emitted a loud high-pitched scream, prompting them to leave and later return with a parent. The primary witness heard noises again overnight, and the next morning the group found large footprints, hair and a bedding area before the primary witness briefly saw a tall hair-covered upright creature that looked at him and ran away.

After months of rabbits and chickens disappearing from locked hutches without feathers or remains, the witness went to feed animals after fresh snow. He found open doors and human-like footprints leading to the tree line and felt watched. He threw a stick at a trunk-like shape in the woods, which then stood and ran off on two legs crashing through trees. The family later moved cages closer to the house and continued to occasionally hear loud screams from the woods.

He yelled and hit the tent, after which it urinated on the tent, hollered loudly and left breaking and twisting high pine branches. The guest took his children and his daughter's boyfriend to cut firewood. They heard child-like giggling, found stacked wood thrown from the truck and food missing, and saw large footprints. While driving out, a log hit the truck hood and two large dark figures ran down the canyon alongside them.

Three college roommates hiked to the Thompson River to fish and camp overnight. After dark they repeatedly heard a childlike crying sound from a nearby ridge, had small river stones tossed into camp, and later heard loud knocks alternating with the cries. The witness and spouse were hiking uphill in heavy snow when they found about a dozen very fresh, large barefoot-like tracks crossing the slope. As they examined the tracks, nearby foliage shook as if an animal was present, and they felt sudden fear and decided to leave. While descending about 300 yards, small pebbles were repeatedly tossed at them from behind, striking the witness in the back without injury until they began to run.

The witness was camping alone in a tall tent when something large approached at night. A tall shadow with broad shoulders was cast on the tent by an outside lantern. The visitor opened food containers, ate bread, growled, overturned a cooler and carried off meat before leaving toward the river where vocalizations were heard. Large footprints and teeth marks were found the following morning.

The witness and a coworker were doing slashing work in a dry logging block when the coworker said his safety helmet had been moved about 100 yards. The witness examined the helmet and saw no marks. Together they looked near where the helmet had been left and found about four large footprints in clay mossy ground.

The witnesses returned late at night to find their tent knocked over with contents spilled. While loading the vehicle to leave, one witness saw a tall brown human-like figure stand up about 15 feet away and walk toward the river. The pair left the area that night and returned the next day to photograph apparent footprints on a hillside.

Before dawn the witness heard the heavy outdoor freezer lid being lifted. After daylight she searched around the house and found two large bare footprints in the driveway about 50 feet away, with no other tracks nearby. She measured and photographed the prints as rain and mild weather melted them, and her daughter also viewed them.

A group camping above a swollen river heard mumbling voices and stick-breaking approaching, followed by loud chanting, shouting and stomping that shook a log seat and was taken as a demand to leave. The sounds stopped after deep hooted calls and later receded to distant screams up the valley and across the mountain. Later, while in a tent, the witness saw the firelight blocked by a squatting silhouette that touched the zipper with five digits, with felt breath and strong odor, before withdrawing. In the morning the witness noted hairs and deep depressions on the trail.

For six to eight months an elderly farmer and his wife reported nightly tapping that followed them room to room, shadows outside windows, a barn door torn open, missing dog food and missing outdoor dogs, and a low voice whispering the indoor dog's name. The responding deputy initially suspected neighbors, moonshiners or a grow operation, but later found a large hand-like dent in the house and an 18-inch footprint in the creek that he cast. The cast was later reported to show dermal ridges and to be considered authentic east of the Mississippi.

The witness and a relative were on their deck at night when their dog barked persistently at the woods edge. The witness approached and found a crouched hairy animal that then stood upright on two feet and ran into the woods, knocking down trees amid screaming. Three hunters spread out in a draw heard a prolonged moaning-howling sound likened to a weak yell for help, with two of them also hearing a loud pop nearby. They traced the sound to a barbed-wire fence with freshly broken wire and torn-up ground but found no identifiable tracks. Returning to the same area the next morning, they found a large footprint in a cow patty which they linked to the previous day's sounds.

The witness's family discovered a long trail of large footprints on their hunting property on a winter weekend in 1991. They followed the trail for over a mile past creeks and cabins and through a barbed-wire fence, making plaster casts of a right and left print. They also reported finding a palm-frond bedding area and palms with hearts eaten nearby.
