Possible activity experienced by campers at a popular campground in the Mount Hood National Forest
The witness and two companions camped in the Mt Hood National Forest with a barrel of animal entrails intended as bait. Over three days they reported loud screams from a nearby ridge, nighttime wood knocks, heavy steps and snapping twigs, and found their camp table apparently bitten through. They moved the bait pile away from camp, later found most of it missing with a wet sweet dog-like odor at the site.

Late at night the witness heard activity outside, put out a recorder, and heard rocks clacked together and an extremely loud branch break up the hill. He also saw a large upright human-shaped silhouette move quickly and silently between trees about 50 yards away. He concluded a second individual made the uphill sounds while the seen one moved downhill.

After daytime shooting and loud vehicle sounds stopped at dark, they heard long female-like woos answered by male-like moans, a heavy stomp, subtle brush movement, a guttural sound, and a heavy splash from a thrown log. Through night vision a companion reportedly saw five figures standing together across the water, prompting rapid packing and departure through the locked gate.

The witness and a companion walked away from the expedition camp at night to look for sign. A heavy piece of concrete was thrown from the treeline and struck deadfall within about ten feet of the witness. They heard movement in the brush and then a loud roar or scream, and ran back to camp.
