Retired police officer describes more Class B activity near prior Class A site west of Pembine, 12mi south of Iron Mountain, MI
The witness was sitting by a campfire at the cabin at night when the dogs ran to the yard's edge barking and growling. A loud repetitive 'scree' call was heard from just beyond the light for several minutes, continuing after the dogs were put inside. The witness also reported a recurring rotten smell and heard unseen movement in the trees before the sounds and smell stopped.

The witness was driving home south of Peshtigo at dusk when headlights caught a large dark creature crossing the highway in front of the car. The witness slowed and watched it cross the southbound lanes, median, and northbound lanes into the woods over several seconds. The witness also noticed a strong skunk-like odor, then secured the car and left the area.

Something ahead screamed and howled, and a flashlight revealed eye reflections several feet off the ground. They retreated to the stream and at daylight saw dark fur moving through deadfalls in the distance.

Because the ditch was about five feet below the roadway, they estimated the figure to be eight to nine feet tall. They described it as dark with wide shoulders moving easily through the ditch. They did not stop for a closer look and instead took a longer route back.

The figure walked upright with a leaning gait and long swinging arms and was watched for about five seconds. At the time the father doubted the identification, but decades later he agreed with the younger witnesses that it had been a Bigfoot.
