Hog hunter watches bigfoot kill hog in Sabine River bottoms.
The witness was hunting hogs from a tree stand at sunrise when he watched a large hairy biped stalk hogs from tree to tree. The animal charged on all fours, killed a hog with blows, then carried it off while exchanging whooping calls with another unseen individual. It paused to stare at the witness before leaving. A hunting partner nearby heard the attack scream and whoops.
Truck driver has early morning encounter near Gary, Texas
The witness, a truck driver hauling oil at night, had just locked a lease gate when trailer work lights revealed a tall hair-covered figure stepping from brush. The figure paused to look at the witness, then silently crossed the road into the woods about 30 feet away. The witness fled in the truck and said he had told no one about the encounter before reporting.
Hunting party loses bagged deer to unknown predator.
During an evening hunt the witness and a relative followed the blood trail of a wounded deer. The trail grew faint and straight over obstacles, leading them to infer the deer was being carried. From across a clearing they heard an extremely loud roaring howl, answering growls and whoop-like replies, plus heavy footsteps on a fire lane mistaken for the witness. They never saw the source and later searches found no carcass or sign.

The witness and companions were cooking catfish at a hunting camp when a noise came from the well where fish guts had been left. The witness went toward the well with a light and rifle, heard a moan, and saw a large dark form that stood upright. After shouting warnings and firing shots in the air, the witness said the form moved off and footsteps were heard in leaves. The next day large five-toed tracks were found at the well and most of the guts were gone.
