Possible daytime road crossing on SR 32 near Jasper
The witness was driving east with his spouse around midday when he noticed a dark figure on the highway center line less than a quarter-mile ahead. The figure took about four steps to cross the road and berm and disappeared into the roadside treeline. When the vehicle reached the crossing point no person or animal was visible, and the spouse had not seen the figure.
A brief encounter with a light colored hair covered creature
The witness was walking around Lake White on a clear spring morning and saw a tall manlike creature about 50 yards away. The creature moved quickly behind a tree, then peeked out at the witness. A herd of deer behind the witness stood still then moved, appearing confused about which direction to run, and both the witness and the deer fled. The witness felt they had come between the creature and the deer and thought it may have been hunting the deer.
Evening sighting by couple near Latham
The witness and a companion went to check on a relative's property and found a partly full burn barrel tipped over. While crossing the yard to prop the barrel upright, they heard brush breaking and saw a very tall hairy creature with long arms staring at them near the woods. After the witness shouted, the creature turned and walked slowly toward the woods with long strides and swinging arms, and the pair ran to their car.
Daylight sighting 20 miles southeast of Chillicothe
The witness parked while driving back roads with a dog, which refused to leave the car, and walked to a hilltop overlooking a gravel road. He noticed a tall gray figure at the roadside that he first mistook for a decaying tree, then saw it turn and take a few steps into the treeline. He described it as about 7 feet tall with a very thick body and arms reaching near the knees, with lower legs hidden by tall grass.
