Four occupants sat chatting in a parked vehicle late at night after walking the area. After feeling uneasy they started the vehicle and noticed a large crouched figure with red eyes about 30 yards away. As they turned to leave the figure stood, and they passed within about 7-10 feet, seeing a tall, broad, human-like face before driving away.
