Possible wood knocks heard by a photographer near Quitman
The witness left a cabin on foot to photograph the lake and fall colors. While walking back toward the cabin he heard loud, rhythmic wood-on-wood knocks coming from a wooded, hilly area. The knocks stopped when he stopped to look and resumed briefly when he walked again. He saw no source, noted no odor, and heard no other vocalizations.
Motorists have early morning sighting near Enterprise
The witness was driving on Interstate 59 toward Meridian with a relative around 3 a.m. in very heavy rain. A tall hair-covered biped came from the left and moved across the front of the vehicle. The driver slowed and swerved to avoid hitting it within a few feet, and it kept crossing to the east without stopping. Both occupants took the animal to be a bigfoot.

In 1987 two college roommates were driving at night when a tall, hair-covered biped crossed the road in front of their car. By the time they reached it, the creature was at the roadside and turned its head to look at them as they drove past. They continued to a family home and reported what they had seen.

In 1987 the witness and a college roommate were driving on Highway 512 in Mississippi late on a Saturday night after a football game. A very tall upright creature covered in reddish-brown fur stepped from roadside bushes and crossed the highway in front of their car. It paused near the center line to look toward the headlights, then continued into the woods on the far side.
