Homeowner recounts multiple instances of rock throwing and vocalizations near Mount Pleasant
Late at night the witness took the dog into the backyard overlooking a river and heard grunt-like vocalizations from the opposite bank. From the deck the witness heard something large moving through brush and keeping pace with them, then heard a loud crack, a large splash, wading steps, and a rock thrown across the river. The witness heard water dripping and shaking off fur and a strange snort before the animal moved away through underbrush. The next morning a previously intact rotten stump across the river was found split with half lying at the river's edge.

The witness reports repeatedly hearing unfamiliar sounds at a central Michigan farm over the prior summer, often while doing outdoor animal chores at night with two other people. The witness was fishing with five other boys near a house on Rolland Road when a breaking-log sound drew attention to a large dark hairy biped crouching in the woods east of the road. The boys ran to the house, and about an hour later they saw a lighter-colored hairy biped in the field west of the road while crashing sounds continued in the woods.

Recorders captured goat-like and horse-like sounds, breathing and banging on a food barrel, and loud knocks from the woods when people moved between buildings.
