Runner has sighting near home south of Jacksonville
The witness was out running in the evening to get in shape and stopped at a road. He saw a very tall, dark brown, muscular figure standing in the road watching him, saying he could see its whole body but was too far away to identify it. He estimated it was close to nine feet tall and then turned around and went home.
Vocalizations and a sighting with a spotlight near Murrayville
In 2007 the witness led an armed group with spotlights to an area where relatives had heard screams. He shone a light across a field and saw a large dark hairy figure with outstretched arms run away in a split second. The group pursued into trees hearing walking and branches breaking but found nothing.

The witness was driving home on back roads in the afternoon when he noticed a large dark head at the edge of a cornfield. After stopping, he watched a tall, dark, muscular, hairy figure walk across the road and disappear into corn on the other side. He then left the area without watching further.

On a winter night in 1986-87 the witness was alone on his turn riding a three-wheeler through a snowy pasture near a wooded creek in Morgan County while a companion waited elsewhere. From about 30 yards away he watched a roughly 7-foot tall, dark-haired, roughly 400-lb figure walk across a narrow strip of pasture between two stands of woods. The figure looked toward him and then kept walking as if unconcerned.
