Two servicemen from Hunter Army Airfield describe tent stalking incident on uninhabited Little Tybee Island
Two hunters camping on a remote barrier island awoke in their tent at night to the sound of bipedal footsteps approaching. After silence, something struck their tent and they exited with lights to see a dark, man-sized figure running toward the marsh. They chased it to the marsh edge but could not catch it, and noted a musky odor. They later verified no other boats were present and concluded a person could not have been out in the freezing conditions.

The following year on the same island the hunters were awakened by their dogs barking in fear and one pup later died after a seizure with no visible injury found.
