Youths see creature near creek
Account
In the early 1970s two young relatives were walking and playing in a creek behind church grounds on a Saturday mid-morning when they heard shuffling and grunting. Looking through the trees about 75 yards away, they saw what looked at first like a man, then perceived as a large fast-moving bipedal form heading away from the road and church deeper into swampy woods. They ran back to tell their fathers, who searched the area without finding anything.
