After finding and photographing a track in daytime and following tracks to a berry area, the witness returned with his young daughter to pick berries. A twig snapped four or five feet away and he heard heavy crushing in loam and saw a black hairy back in the bushes. He realized a small shelter stood about twelve feet off the main trail and left with his daughter when other families approached.
