Veteran hunter tells of feeling watched, panics
Account
While deer hunting alone in a steep canyon, the witness explored a dug-out alcove containing droppings and a faint musky odor. Continuing toward a meadow, he experienced a sudden intense sensation of being watched, with raised hair and rapid heartbeat, without seeing anything. He retreated across a stream, where the fear abruptly lifted, then watched the area from the open for about an hour with no recurrence.
