The witness says he took two visitors down into a holler while others stayed on the main trail. He spotted a dark shape behind a tree that his companion first thought was a shadow. After the witness stepped forward and snapped a branch, the figure leaned out, the companion reacted, they pursued it, and found a three-toed impression in moss where it stood.
