On a cold sunny winter day the witness stood in his wooded front yard and saw black furry legs from the knees down moving through brush by the propane tank. The legs stopped and turned toward him, then left with a sudden burst of speed that looked like a blur. Two to three nights later the side of the house by his son's room was repeatedly slapped in the middle of the night, and on several nights he felt heavy footfall impacts while sleeping on the sofa without hearing sound.
