Fresh tracks seen, yells heard, by hikers near Rooster Rock
Account
The witness and a companion were hiking a remote trail when they found large footprints in mud, much longer than the witness's shoe with a long stride. On the return hike they found additional prints reversing direction and felt watched. A large unseen thing then rushed toward them through the forest breaking vegetation, prompting the witness to fire shots in the air, after which it retreated uphill and loud yells were heard from two directions before they left.
