At midday at deer camp the witness heard something walking below a knuckle he could not see over, rustling bushes and making repeated bare-hand-on-cloth slapping sounds while approaching to about sixty feet. Feeling it was close but not ready to look, he retrieved a handgun from a truck and then found nothing there.
