Man recalls hearing vocalizations in Union County, and in Idaho
Account
The witness reports tent-camping at a remote lake in northeastern Oregon around 1970 when, one night, a very loud unseen animal vocalized from across the lake for up to half an hour, producing whoops, howls, grunts and grumbling sounds while pacing back and forth. The witness, then a child, searched that side the next morning but found no tracks in mossy ground, and remains convinced the sounds came from an unexplained animal.
