Hunter recalls sighting while deer hunting.
Account
The witness was bear hunting across a steep canyon in intermittent rain and drifting fog when a dark moving figure was spotted on the opposite slope about 300 yards away. First mistaken for a person through the rifle scope, binoculars revealed a two-legged figure covered in long dark shaggy hair. The figure looked toward the witness then ran parallel along the canyon, covering about 150 yards in under half a minute over very steep ground without using its hands. Shaken and unable to shoot, the witness left and reports no longer entering that drainage.
