Bow hunters describe encounter with a "screaming banshee"
Account
In the late evening during the last weekend of August 1986, two brothers scouting for bow-hunting stand locations near First Creek heard loud, deep, sustained screams described as like a woman being murdered. The sound paralleled them as they backed and then ran down the logging road, stopping only when they reached the main road. They never saw the source, joked it might have been Bigfoot, and afterward avoided hunting in that direction.
