Three Sisters Wilderness, North Mathieu Lake - Man camping alone hears footsteps
Account
The witness was camping alone in a tent on the northeast corner of North Mathieu Lake. Around 4 a.m. he awoke to loud bipedal footsteps circling his tent, with a tent guy rope briefly touched, and his shouts got no answer until blowing a whistle caused the sounds to retreat to the north. In morning light he found a very large deep toed footprint near his tent plus several fainter prints nearby, and he cut his trip short.
