Woman tells of sighting at South Umpqua Falls
Account
The witness was sitting by a river while two cousins swam nearby. The witness reported a horrible smell and fear, then saw a large hairy man-like figure standing by a tree that looked at the witness before walking back into the trees. After waiting, the witness brought the cousins back, saw flattened grass where the figure had stood, and then left by car.
