Woods-wise miner hears two unidentifiable growls

The witness spent a week hiking and camping in the Forks of Salmon Wilderness Area while looking for Bigfoot. One night while watching a hillside of blackberries, the witness heard two growls from about 100 yards away. The witness described being familiar with sounds of local wildlife from time as a gold miner and said nothing previously heard matched these growls.
