The witness joined his brother and sister-in-law to check lights in the woods. He noted X structures and a ripped-apart tree across the road. After dark he heard a snap, saw a huge silhouette holding snapped tree parts, then blacked out as he was struck in the face and knocked against his vehicle. His brother fired a shotgun in the air and both creatures left.
