Rancher sees glowing eyes at night, about 8 feet from the ground
Account
While spotlighting a pasture at night to monitor a mare close to foaling, the witnesses saw a very tall set of large eyes peering from the woods on the last two nights. The eyes, described as about six inches apart, bobbed to avoid the spotlight and then moved away, making no sound but spooking horses and dogs. A wildlife official who visited did not think the description fit a cougar and suggested a raccoon, which the witness rejected as inconsistent with eye size and animal reactions.
