Vocalization near Peoria County (2011)
Account
While morel hunting on private property, the witness heard trees cracking and loud deep yells from about forty feet away as woods went silent, with his dog returning submissive and bristled. He retreated to his truck and later on another part of the property found tracks crossing a creek and going up a thirty-foot bank where a four-inch tree had been freshly broken off.
