Odor in Pennsylvania
Account
While hunting alone from a log ground blind in early afternoon, the witness smelled a musky wet-dog and skunk-cabbage odor, felt static over his body, and heard heavy steps stop behind him. He experienced what he described as mind-speak, an exchange about hunting, feeding, family and whether he would expose them. It ended with a deep guttural roar that vibrated his body and left him temporarily unable to move, after which he found disturbed leaves leading uphill.
