Footprints observed at edge of clear cut forest
Account
Two people walking through thick brush found a very large footprint in mud at the edge of old growth and a clearcut, noting it appeared to have only four toes. They found a second similar print about a quarter-mile away in the same direction but could not follow a trail because the ground was densely vegetated. They described the prints as roughly 14 to 18 inches long and about 9 inches wide and unlike bear tracks seen in the area.
