Account
The guest and a companion walked in the dark to a guzzler near Fort Rock for archery hunting. They heard a deep guttural howl followed by higher-pitched coyote-like sounds lasting several minutes, then a loud thud like a boulder hitting a tree and eerie silence. They checked the dead-end road afterward and found no other people or vehicles.
