Around 3am a hammock camper heard quiet deep voices and steps close by moving toward horses and the downslope camper. The hammock camper chased the sounds running downhill but could not catch steady stepping that crossed a creek and went up the far ridge crashing loudly. The downslope camper woke on his back to two towering silhouettes looking down, felt frozen and unable to move, and after they left lay about half an hour before moving.
