Account
The team found scattered elk bones and a fresh footprint beside a body. Some felt sick, then small rocks began hitting trees and feet, growing larger and more frequent with growls behind them. They were chased about a quarter mile to the truck while something splashed in a creek, then three members ran back without gear to retrieve the footprint cast.
