Tree break in Oregon (2024)
Account
After a daylight group walk, the guest stayed behind alone on his bike to listen. He heard a tree crash across the valley, then a loud crashing descent through timber, across the river and up toward his position. The sound altered course to intercept him before stopping silent in the tree line a couple hundred feet away, prompting him to ride out.
