After asking to see eyeshine the guest saw blue eyes including large set-apart eyes with medium and little ones in the gully while her husband saw nothing. The next night he heard pig sounds and munching then a child cry near a bridge and fled with his gun. The following night they saw amber eyes with one red-eyed little one seeming mad, and he apologized for the gun. For about a month they came nightly, including her birthday when she watched gestures indicating mate and baby, saw tiny eyes climbing a tree and being held up, and later received the mate name Oda Alie. A visiting friend later felt a pantry smack and got a second sign after asking in her mind.
