The witness and a companion were riding a scooter past a clearcut when they saw a creature rise from a sleeping position near the far tree line. The creature looked at them and then walked south with swinging arms, passing a stump and stepping up into the forest. They stopped to examine the sleeping spot and judged its size from the tall stump and the high step, then reported the sighting to a research group.
