West of Alsea, while riding dirt bikes down a trail, two high school seniors find their path blocked by large log
Account
Two young riders set up camp off an isolated logging road after riding dirt-bike trails all day. At dusk they found a large log blocking a trail they had used repeatedly, then stayed at camp with a fire feeling uneasy. Around midnight rocks were thrown into camp amid crashing sounds in the undergrowth and loud screaming and growling, causing them to flee in their truck. They returned briefly the next day to retrieve gear without searching for evidence.
