Woman hears nearby scream/howl with a distant response
Account
The witness took their dog outside near their house and fence. The dog acted wary, sniffing the air and refusing to go near the fence while distant dogs were barking. A very loud, terrible scream-howl came from the trees across from the house and was answered seconds later by a faint response, after which the barking dogs went silent. The witness said the sound was unfamiliar despite growing up in the country knowing local animal sounds.
