Account
Shortly after arriving by car at a riverside campsite, the witness and a companion heard a very loud rhythmic beating sound from the opposite hill across the river. The sound lasted a few seconds, starting slowly and ending rapidly and abruptly, and was heard three times within a few minutes. The witness states the sound did not resemble known birds or other familiar woods noises, and notes shooting activity downriver at the time.

Evidence & investigation
What the source says was found or done. Claimed evidence is listed as claimed; the Anomadex has not examined it.
An investigator conducted a three-day campout at the same river area and attributed the chest-beating sound to grouse and other noises to common wildlife and human sources.
