Hunters almost shoot what they originally thought was a bear
Account
Four people were elk hunting near a pond when they noticed a strong rotten odor. They then observed a dark figure initially on all fours that stood onto its hind legs and ran into the forest. While walking back they continued to smell the odor and hear movement behind them, leading them to feel they were being followed.
