Two boys encounter large tracks and rancid smell while hunting
Account
Two teenage companions hunting grouse far up the Satsop River found large barefoot footprints on a sunny sandbar. The prints were larger and wider than a size 11 boot with a stride the taller teen could not match, and water was still draining into them after a shallow crossing. The pair then noticed a strong foul odor, felt watched, and retreated without seeing or hearing the track-maker, later wondering if it had been a Sasquatch.
