Tracks in Massachusetts
Account
While exploring past beaver dams toward three large boulders, the researchers found a single bare footprint in ground that had been soft then frozen hard. It showed toes, measured about 13-14 inches long and 3-4 inches wide, narrower like a juvenile, heading toward the boulders. They photographed it with a tape measure and noted no one would be barefoot there in February.
