The guest was watching television at home on a Sunday night in spring 2023 when loud whooping vocalizations came from the dense woods behind the house and grew louder, while neighborhood dogs barked intensely. He closed the window and went to sleep. The next day his stepfather said he had also heard the whoops so close that he went outside with a gun and installed security cameras a week later, and a neighbor confirmed she heard the sounds and dogs as well. The guest later played a short online clip of alleged Bigfoot whoops that his stepfather said matched what they heard.
