Howl in Maryland
One night this past summer
night

Account
The witness and the girlfriend were sitting outside at home in Maryland surrounded by coyote packs. An initial very large howl unlike a coyote yip or bark was followed by a coyote frenzy and then total silence. The witness wondered if it involved a dogman-type animal said to run with coyotes.
