A train engineer traveling toward La Grande reportedly saw a very large, tall furry creature moving upright up a hillside beside the tracks at a fast pace. The witness, experienced with bears, did not believe it was a bear and thought it was a bigfoot. The account was later relayed by a relative after the witness had passed away.
