Account
Driving in the dark early morning about ten miles from his earlier encounter, the witness saw a black figure run fast across the road. It stopped, turned to look, and placed hands on the road like an ape. He first thought young bear but concluded it was a juvenile about four feet tall and roughly one hundred fifty to two hundred pounds.
